JAMES D. CRAWFORD, HOULTON – James D. Crawford, 88, died on May 29, 2018, in Bangor. He was born on August 18, 1929, in Littleton, the son of John and Pearl (Williams) Crawford.
James was a veteran of the US Army, a member of the Monument Lodge #96 of Houlton, the Anah Shriners of Bangor, the American Legion Post #47 of Houlton, and the Houlton Fish and Game Club. He earned his private pilots license, was a ham radio operator, and a life-long carpenter.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth (Adler) Crawford; his sister, Joyce Shaw of Littleton, and several treasured nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Glenna Ivey; and a brother, Harold Crawford.

Friends called from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Friday, June 1st, 2018, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water Street, Houlton, where funeral services was held 1 p.m. with Rev. Steve Straubel officiating.
