MABEL MARIE SHAW HAGERMAN, HOULTON – Mabel Marie Shaw Hagerman, 89, of Houlton, went home to be with her Lord on June 1, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 23, 1929, in Littleton, the daughter of Beverly (Bird) Shaw and Amber (Stockford) Shaw.
She attended Logan Grade School in Littleton and was a 1947 graduate of Ricker Classical Institute. She was a long time member of Military Street Baptist Church and very active in the Ladies Missions Program. She was employed by the Aroostook Hospital as a cleaning lady and then worked in the cafeteria as a food preparation person; she then earned her Dietitian Certificate and held that position until October of 1972.
She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Hagerman Milton and her husband, Tom, of Ludlow, and Beverly A. Hagerman of Houlton; three sons, Gordon and his wife, Crystal, Steven and his wife, Margaret, all of Littleton, and Andrew and his wife, Vicki, of New Limerick. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Travis Milton and his wife, Ebony, Peter Schools and his wife, Brandi, Jordan Schools and wife, Amanda, Danielle Hagerman, Elizabeth Hagerman and Lance, Justin Hagerman, Ellen Hagerman, Douglas Hagerman and his wife, Brooke, Amy Hagerman, and Sarah Wright and her husband, Derrick; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Also a sister-in-law, Joyce Shaw of Littleton, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter L. Hagerman, a daughter, Ellen M. Hagerman, three brothers Theodore Shaw, Milton Shaw, and Hartley B. Shaw, and three sisters, Edna Whyte, Shirley Warman, and Dorothy Campbell.
Friends called from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5th, 2018, at the Military St. Baptist Church with funeral services being held at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Joshua Brewer officiating.
