FOUNTAIN, Colorado – Ronald Basil Fox passed away in Fountain, Colorado on May 8, 2018 after a short but courageous battle with Mesothelioma cancer.
He was born in Washburn, ME, October 11, 1945, son of Basil and Joyce Porter Fox. He graduated from Washburn High School in 1963 and left the county to work in Plattsburgh, NY, Saranac Lake, NY and Beckett, MA before moving to and working in Security, CO.
Ronald was a master woodworker and spent many hours in his workshop making bowl, boxes, pens, and other gadgets. He loved fishing and having coffee with a group of his fishing buddies each morning after he retired. He always enjoyed returning to the county and kept in touch with many of his county friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Basil and Joyce Fox, his son Keith, brother Gary and nephew Ryan Fox.
He was the devoted husband of Janice Schaub and they celebrated 51 years of marriage. Besides his wife, Janice he is survived by daughter Wendy Fox and her fiancée Curtis Lawdermilk, granddaughter Leslie Dodge, brother Jeffrey and his wife Janice of Westmanland, ME, sister Jill Fox of Falmouth ,ME, sister-in-law Artie Fox of Greenfield, IN and several nieces and nephews.
