HOUSTON, Texas, and PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – Roger Ervin Hitchcock, 65, died on June 1, 2018, at a Houston, Texas, hospital. He was born on May 24, 1953, in Presque Isle, to the late Hubert E. and Elva C. (Kidney) Hitchcock.

Roger was a graduate of Presque Isle High School, class of 1971, and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maine at Presque Isle in 1975. He relocated to Texas in the late 1980s and worked in the construction industry. Roger was an avid reader and had a keen interest in film history, screenwriting, and film production. One play he wrote as a college student was performed at the university.
Roger is survived by his sister, Carolyn (Hitchcock) Phelps and her husband, Kenneth, and by his brother, Howard and his wife, Deborah; as well as two nephews, three nieces, and aunts and cousins.
