CARIBOU, Maine — Caribou Kiwanis Club, a nonprofit organization committed to children, will benefit from the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program for the month of July.

The Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program, launched in October 2015, supports local nonprofits through the sale of reusable community bags.

Leadership at the Caribou Hannaford store selected the club to receive July funds. For every reusable community bag purchased at the store during July, Kiwanis will receive a $1 donation.

We were extremely excited to learn we had been selected. Our local Hannaford store has always been very helpful and generous during our events, and this is one more example,” said Caribou Kiwanis Club President Bill Francis.

This donation will help the Caribou Kiwanis Club with support for the Caribou High School Key Club, MSSM Key Club, Caribou Middle School Builders Club, Cub Scout Pack 184, Adventure Camp, Aroostook Teen Leadership, as well as other local projects for kids.”

Club members have a goal to raise $500 during July, which is equivalent to 500 bags purchased.
