Rotary official: ‘Do good in the world’

The Mars Hill Rotary Club met on July 10.

Silvana Bosca, Rotary Governor for District 7810, spoke about how Rotary strives to unite people to make a difference in the world and locally. Priorities include strengthening and supporting clubs, focusing and increasing humanitarian service and enhancing public image and awareness.

She urged all to do good in the world and in their own community.  

Library Happenings

The Walter T. A. Hansen Memorial Library in Mars Hill will host a Mad Hatter Tea Party on Saturday, July 28, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Homecoming 2018

Homecoming will return Aug. 9-12.

Thursday Night Music is back in Bridgewater, 6-9 p.m. at the Historical Building.

The William Cousins Post 118 of Mars Hill will host Bingo Saturday at 7 p.m.
