Seventeen-year-old Rachel Thurston was at Cary Medical Center’s annual health fair, held Sept. 29 at the Caribou Wellness Center, to present a donation of her handiwork. Thurston hand-knits hats for newborns at the hospital’s Maternal/Child Unit and presents them each year during the health fair; this year, she made 43 infant hats for babies who will be delivered at Cary.
