EAST HODGDON, Maine — Hidden Springs Winery hosted a Holiday Fair Saturday, Dec. 8, to support the “Shop Local” theme, complete with Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus and Tim “the Tune Man” Humphrey.
The winery was a quaint picturesque setting with a long winding driveway and a clear view of snow-topped Mount Katahdin to the west and Mars Hill Mountain or Big Rock to the north.
Customers enjoyed a cozy, crackling fire and Christmas music by Tim Humphrey. Local crafters included: Ellen Tidd’s signs; Joan Sullivan, of Sonshine Fruit Works with her homemade pickles and candy; Tammy Kerekes with Willow Wood Apothecary, which includes homemade soaps, lotions, teas, fresh herbs and goat products; Syn-Cyr-ly Sisters with their woolen mittens, purses and scarves; The Farmhouse seamstress with key fobs and baby items, a potter and a booth with fresh wreaths and swags to complete your holiday décor.
Jean Sloat, owner of the venue welcomed guests to sample her hot spiced cider and some of the award winning wines. The winery is located on the White Settlement Road and offers a place for private parties and monthly public dinners with entertainment.
