Power outage across Aroostook County affects over 1,000 Emera customers

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Emera Maine crews are investigating the cause of a power outage that has affected some 1,117 households in Aroostook County on Wednesday, June 5.

According to Amanda Cummings, corporate communications specialist at Emera, the outage lasted “about a half an hour” and affected customers in the towns of Washburn and Woodland.

Power was restored to all affected areas within thirty minutes, according to Cummings.
