Presque Isle police arrest four individuals in connection with alleged drug dealing

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Presque Isle Police Department arrested four individuals on Friday evening in connection with alleged drug activity at an apartment on Exchange Street in Presque Isle.

According to a public service announcement published on the department’s Facebook page, officers executed a search warrant for an apartment at 8 Exchange St. at approximately 7:30 p.m. on June 14. Through a prior investigation they had “probable cause” to suspect that individuals were selling drugs inside the apartment.

Due to the pending investigation the police department has not released the names of the suspects.

During their search warrant officers from Presque Isle and the Van Buren Police Department’s K-9 Unit seized several grams of methamphetamine, various pills and a substance that they suspect to be heroin as well as $2,590.

They arrested four people and charged them with Unlawful Trafficking of Schedule W Drugs, Unlawful Furnishing of Schedule W Drugs, Unlawful Furnishing of Schedule Z Drugs and Unlawful Furnishing of Schedule Y Drugs. One of the individuals had an outstanding warrant for their arrest.
