HOULTON, Maine — Youngsters turned out in force Saturday, June 1, for the 22nd annual Bike-a-thon and Spaghetti Supper sponsored by the Greater Houlton Christian Academy.

More than 80 registered participants cycled their way over their choice of a 10- or 20-mile course. For those who prefer to run versus bike, there was also a 5-mile walk/run route and a small course near the school was set up for the youngsters who attend Little Eagles Preschool and GHCA Pre-K programs.

In total, the event raised just over $19,000 for the private school. As a local ministry GHCA’s mission is to provide an academically-solid education that is in harmony with Biblical values. Applications are now being accepted for the 2019/2020 school year. The school has provided a Christian education to students from Aroostook County, Maine, New Brunswick, Canada and overseas students for 35 years.
