PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Animal adoption opportunities, a pet supply drive and more are on tap from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, at Tractor Supply in Presque Isle.

The store’s annual Out Here with Animals celebration, a monthlong event that recognizes pets, animals and the people who care for them, offers an opportunity to engage with team members about pet and animal care while supporting local rescue groups that are looking to find a safe home for animals in need.

“Tractor Supply celebrates pets and animals of all shapes and sizes year-round, and with our annual Out Here with Animals event, we get to spotlight our customers, their pets and the local rescue groups that play an integral role in the Presque Isle community,” said Roy Sanders, manager of the Presque Isle Tractor Supply. “Our team looks forward to this event every year.”

The Presque Isle community is invited to visit the store to visit with local pet adoption representative Jane West, who will be on site throughout the event. A bake sale is planned, and customers can also support the local animal shelter community by participating in a pet supplies drive. Acceptable items include new sealed food, toys, cleaning supplies, beds, scratching posts, leashes and bowls.

Supplies will be donated to the Central Aroostook Humane Society.
