Police say medical emergency led to Ashland rollover
ASHLAND, Maine — A 67-year-old Portage man suffering a medical event while driving escaped life-threatening injuries after his pickup truck rolled over in Ashland Sunday afternoon.
Gary Thibault was driving a 2004 Toyota pickup west on Presque Isle Road when he “suffered a medical emergency,” according to the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office.
Thibault’s truck rolled off the road, slid sideways across the ditch and hit a telephone pole, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Thibault was extricated from his pickup and taken by ambulance to Northern Light AR Gould hospital in Presque Isle by ambulance with non life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Thibault’s vehicle was towed from the scene.
