MARS HILL, Maine — The Walter T.A. Hansen Memorial Library in Mars Hill invites muggles, wizards and trick-or-treaters alike to their Halloween Harry Potter House from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31.
Explore the world of Harry Potter as you try to manage and stay out of mischief, find out what house you belong in and find some mystical treasures to take home.
Librarian Amber Wood also announced that librarian Parker Smith has joined the staff.
“We are so excited to be working with him,” Wood said. “We are working hard to get our Harry Potter House ready for Halloween night. We are hoping not only will this bring in people to trick-or-treat, but to meet Parker, explore the library and pick up a bookmark with our new hours on it.”
As of Nov. 1, the library will be open from 12:30 to 8 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. both Fridays and Saturdays.
