Houlton woman named Dunkin’ ‘Assistant Manager of the Year’

HOULTON, Maine — Shelly Butler of Houlton has been selected as the “Assistant Manager of the Year” by Dunkin franchise owner Micheal Ouimet.

It marks the second straight year that Butler has been selected for this award. 

 

“Shelly has excelled in all of her professional areas of growth,” Ouimet, who owns nine Dunkin restaurants in the state, said. “She has taken the initiative to learn everything she can. [She is] always willing to help and puts in extra effort to help her manager run the business.”

Butler is “ServSafe” certified as a manager and a proctor. “Shelly always has a smile on her face and a pep in her step every day,” he added. “Shelly is an excellent leader and has earned the respect of everyone she works with. Shelly has gone from the midcoast to Caribou to help our stores, going above expectations. Shelly is not afraid to speak up if she has an idea or feels something could be done better.”

“Thank you all for all the dedication, hard work and positive, ‘can do’ attitude you bring with you every day,” Tanya Lyons, director of operations, said. “I am truly blessed to work with such an outstanding leadership team.”

“I am so very lucky to have her,” Lisa MacDonald, senior general manager, added. “Shelly has been a great asset to this company. She is an outstanding assistant manager and we do better with her. I believe that we have improved as a restaurant and in customer service due to her dedication and personality.”

Butler won a cash prize for the award.
