PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Police have arrested three people in connection with a burglary at Cigaret Shopper in Presque Isle.

On Sunday, Aug. 2, the Presque Isle Police Department responded to a burglary alarm at the Cigaret Shopper, located at 733 Main St., at approximately 9:37 p.m. Upon arrival, the officers found that the glass front door of the business had been broken.

Surveillance video from nearby businesses showed the suspects — a 14-year-old male and 16-year-old from Presque Isle, a 17-year-old male from Fort Fairfield and an 18-year-old female from Fort Fairfield.

Police have arrested and charged the three juvenile suspects and will not be releasing their names due to all of them being under 18 years of age. They plan to release the name of the 18-year-old female once she has received a summons for an arrest.

Police Chief Laurie Kelley said that two of the arrested juveniles were also involved in a burglary at the Cigaret Shopper’s Fort Fairfield location prior to the Presque Isle burglary.
