Caribou boys, girls victorious at Cross Country meet

WASHBURN, Maine — The Caribou boys and girls cross country teams both scored a victory during an Oct. 2 cross country meet hosted by Washburn that also included runners from Fort Kent.

In the boys meet Jordan Duplissie was the top runner with a total time of 16 minutes, 20.70 seconds for the 3.1 mile run. Brady Miller was second at 17:53.80 and Isaac Drayton was third at 17:57.30.

The Viking boys finished first, with an average time of 17:43.66, while Washburn was second with an average of 19:24.22.

In the girls race, Caribou was the only team to field enough runners to score. The Vikings average time was 25:14.98.

Kayley Bell of Caribou was the top female runner at 20:33.50 with Annabelle Reardon of Fort Kent placing second at 24:04.50.
