NEW LIMERICK, Maine — This past weekend we held our Club Championship / Presidents Cup Tournament. Our Club Champion for 2021 is Porter Gervais. The “B” Division Champion is Garrett Harvey and the Ladies Champion is Misty Marino.
The Junior Champion is David Tuttle, Junior “B” Champion is Beckett Peabody and the Junior Girls Champion is Pressley Goodwin.
The Presidents Cup Champion is Logan Holmes and Pamela Mailman is the Ladies Presidents Cup winner. Congrats to all the winners.
The next tournament on our schedule is the Babe Caron Memorial Member/Guest Sept. 4-5. Slots are filling up fast, but we do have a few more available. Call the clubhouse to sign up your team today! The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, Sept. 1. You must have a current GHIN to play in this tournament.
In our quest to recognize the many valuable volunteers that our club relies so heavily upon for operation, this week we’d like to give special thanks to a veteran volunteer: Larry Holmes. Besides being a past president and board member, Holmes has volunteered countless hours at the club for decades. More recently, he has kept all of our hedges and shrubs trimmed (which is no small job), has pressure washed the deck for many years, and is an active member of the greens committee.
