HOULTON, Maine — The Houlton Elks Lodge No. 835 will host its annual fall Soccer Shootout on Saturday, Sept. 25, at 1 p.m.
Held at the Houlton High School soccer field, the event challenges youths to kick soccer balls into a net worth varying amounts of points. Age group winners from the local event move on to the District competition, and a chance to compete at the state and New England levels.
Registration begins at 11:30 p.m. and the competition begins at noon. Participants are split into the following age groups: U8 (those age seven and younger); U10 (ages 8-9); U12 (ages 10-11); and U14 (ages 12-13).
Parents or guardians are required to bring a birth certificate to verify their child’s age during registration.
