Presque Isle area events will celebrate Halloween

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Whether families are looking for sweet treats or spooky thrills, there will be plenty of Halloween activities to choose from this year. Here are a few.

Friday, October 29

The Central Aroostook High School Class of 2022 is hosting a Haunted Walk from 6 to 9 p.m. at the high school, located on 26 Pleasant St. in Mars Hill. Cost for entry is $5. Halloween treats will be given out at the end of the walk.

Sunday, Oct. 31

The Aroostook Shrine Club will host a Trunk or Treat from noon to 2 p.m. at their 390 Houlton Rd. location. The club is inviting businesses, organizations and families to serve as sponsors for the event. Sponsors must decorate their vehicles in a family-friendly manner, dress up in costume or both, and pass out candy. Vehicle set-up will occur from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Prizes will be awarded for the best decorated trucks. To register, contact the Shrine Club at aroostookshrineclub@gmail.com

Cub Scout Pack 171 will host a Trunk or Treat from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Grant Memorial Methodist Church parking lot, located at 79 Fleetwood St. in Presque Isle. There will also be family games and activities. Those attending are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items for donation to Grace Interfaith Food Table.

For the second year, the Framework Wesleyan Church will host their Big Top Bash Grab n’ Go from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.. Families taking part in the drive-thru event will receive goodie bags for children in fifth grade and below. The Framework Church is located at 387 Centerline Rd. in Presque Isle.

The Presque Isle Historical Society will hold Haunted Hearse Tours at 6 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Reservations can be secured by calling 762-1151. Each tour will depart the Historic Fire Station at 11 Church St. at its designated time. This event will occur rain or shine.
