Candidates Stewart and Underwood should answer constituent questions

To the editor:

I wrote to Maine Sen. Trey Stewart, R-Presque Isle, and Maine Rep. Joseph Underwood, R-Presque Isle, on April 25, asking whether they planned any public meetings to discuss what they have done in their current positions, and what they hope to accomplish should they be reelected.

Because I received no response from either candidate, I wrote to them again on May 14. Again, no response. Because they are both standing for their seats, I believe this is a fair request.

I assume that they read the papers from their districts, and hope that this letter may prompt some sort of response; hopefully, a positive one.
