Joe Fagnant, incoming Houlton Rotary Club president for 2023-2024, announced that the club is now accepting project funding requests for the upcoming year.
Groups submitting requests should include a short explanation of their project, the amount requested, and who the project will benefit. All requests should be submitted before May 1.
“Our goal is to donate $30,000 this year to local projects, funded by the Rotary Auction and other Rotary fundraisers,” Fagnant said.
Past projects have included the Houlton Area Little League, Littleton Playground, Just for Kids Playground, Houlton Riverfront Project, Northern Maine Soap Box Derby, Houlton Amphitheater, Cary Library, Northern Maine Lacrosse Club, Jobs for Maine’s Graduates, Houlton Elementary School basketball court, Putnam House: A Center for Seniors, Temple Cinema free matinee, The Salvation Army in Houlton, Adopt-a-Block of Aroostook, Houlton Area Backpacks for Kids, Aid for Kids, Houlton Recreation Program, McGill’s Community Band, and many more.
