DYER BROOK, Maine — Southern Aroostook Community High School seniors received scholarship awards of over $160,900 at their very memorable graduation ceremony held on Friday, June 9 in the SACS Gym. The graduation was well attended by family and friends.
The following scholarship awards were presented:
Jennah Brooks received the following: Tyler Grand Maison MELMAC Scholarship, the Ricker College Scholarship, the George Mitchell Scholarship, a Worthington Foundation Award, an Elks Scholarship, a SACS Scholarship Program Award, David Ryan Memorial Scholarship, an Onward Energy Scholarship, a Kirby Living Trust Award, a Southern Aroostook Educational Trust Scholarship, Malcolm and Priscilla Palmer Scholarship, Paul F. Sherman Memorial Scholarship, Site Flight, LLC Scholarship, James Odgers Memorial Scholarship, Lorrie McLaughlin Memorial Scholarship, Katahdin Federal Credit Union Scholarship, Pete Porter Memorial Scholarship, Larry and Phyllis Greenlaw Memorial Scholarship, Jerry’s Food Store Scholarship, Bates Fuel Scholarship, Ellis Family Market Scholarship and the Ted and Patty Hartin Scholarship.

Alyssa Crandall received scholarships from Louisiana Pacific, an anonymous scholarship, Onward Energy Scholarship, a Worthington Foundation Award, a SACS Scholarship Program Scholarship, a Kirby Living Trust Award, a Southern Aroostook Educational Trust Scholarship, Katahdin Federal Credit Union Scholarship, Houlton Regional Hospital Medical Staff Scholarship, Oakfield Alumni Scholarship, The Bridge to Hope Scholarship, Alice and Peter Cullinan Memorial Scholarship and the Phil Sherman Memorial Scholarship.
Madalyn Given was awarded a Curry Family Giving Fund Scholarship, Malcolm and Priscilla Palmer Scholarship, Audrey Benn Memorial Scholarship, Charlotte Benn McDonald Memorial Scholarship, Alice and Peter Cullinan Memorial Scholarship, Island Falls Alumni Scholarship and the Katahdin Club Scholarship.
Leigha Hartin was awarded a Curry Family Giving Fund Scholarship, Malcolm and Priscilla Palmer Scholarship, a Pete Porter Memorial Scholarship, Island Falls Alumni Scholarship and the Kevin Hunt Memorial Scholarship.
