Le Club Français, headquartered in Madawaska, in an effort to promote the learning of the French language in St. John Valley schools, and to encourage our students to further their studies in  French language arts, has awarded $2,500 to this year’s graduating classes in Madawaska, St. Agatha and Fort Kent. There were no eligible students in Van Buren this year.

Recipients of Le Club Français Bourse d’Excellence en Français are as follows: Madawaska: two $500 scholarships to Geoffrey Lavoie and Taylor Pelletier; Wisdom in St. Agatha: $500 to Dominick Gendreau; and  Fort Kent:  two $500 scholarships to Shania Morin and Tia Saucier. The Club Francais comité d’education congratulated the recipients. The committee also would like to thank the French teachers who helped in this process and hope to encourage more students to study our French language. These scholarships shall be awarded annually to recommended graduating seniors in the St. John Valley Schools.
