HOULTON, Maine — The Houlton Lady Shires opened the season Sept. 1 with a 3-1 win over George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill. Gabby Gentle scored two goals and Ella McCarthy added the other. Mylee Sylvia had two assists on the night.
The George Stevens goal was scored by Sophie Landrum.
