Fort Kent girls win tennis quarterfinal vs. Van Buren

FORT KENT, Maine — Fourth-seeded Fort Kent girls hosted fifth seed Van Buren in a scorching hot Class C North quarterfinal on June 4. Fort Kent came out on top with a 5-0 win. The team advanced to face top-ranked George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill. Results are:

No. 1 singles Anah Albert defeated Mallory Beaulieu 6-1, 6-0.

No. 2 singles Julia Cyr defeated Abbie Cormier 6-1, 6-2.

No. 3 singles Hannah Lovley defeated Natalie Beaulieu 6-0, 6-1.

No. 1 doubles Mia Voisine and Madeline Philbrook defeated Hazel Rogozzine 6-1, 6-0.

No. 2 doubles Logan Stedt and Shelby Theriault defeated Porscha Strasser Kaitlyn Caron 6-0, 6-0.
