A Chester man missing since Sunday was found dead on Tuesday after his motorcycle crashed in Weston, according to the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office.

Gregory Richard, 52, was last seen in Danforth driving his 2003 Harley Davidson Fat Boy motorcycle, police said.

After he was reported missing, the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office asked the Aroostook County Sheriff’s office to help with the search for Richard.

The investigation indicated that he may be in Weston, according to police.

Richard and his motorcycle were found off the Bancroft Road in Weston, Aroostook County Sheriff Peter Johnson said.

“It appears that Richard failed to navigate a turn while traveling north, striking a telephone pole, and came to rest down an embankment,” Johnson said in a Wednesday release.

The crash is currently under investigation by the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from a Presque Isle Police Department Crash Reconstructionist.

Danforth Fire Department and Danforth Ambulance assisted on scene.
