With fall comes the promise of exciting wildlife viewing opportunities in The County.
There is a special opportunity this weekend to join Maine Audubon staff naturalist Doug Hitchcox and friends to comb through the many waterfowl species migrating through northern Maine with hopes of finding a rare goose. If you are interested in birding, please come along.
Groups will meet on Saturday, Oct. 19, in Caribou and Sunday, Oct. 20, in Mars Hill to caravan to various goose hangouts in the area. Some of these stops may be along the sides of roads, rather than areas with designated parking lots, so we’ll ask people to carpool and condense the number of vehicles driving around.
Join us for this unique and free birding outing. For more details and to register: https://maineaudubon.org/events/aroostook-goose-chase/
