A late-night fire Monday destroyed a maintenance building at Pine Village mobile home park in Presque Isle.
The Presque Isle Fire Department received the call at 9:51 p.m. The blaze was well underway when firefighters arrived, Fire Chief Darrell White said Tuesday.
“It was pretty much fully involved when the first engine arrived and the roof had already collapsed,” he said.
The one-story structure contained maintenance equipment like tools and welders and is a total loss, the chief said.
No one was in the building at the time and there were no injuries.
Personnel from the Washburn Fire Department helped fight the fire while Caribou Fire and Ambulance provided station coverage, White said. The fire’s cause is unknown.
Attempts to contact Pine Village’s owners were not successful. A recording stated the phone is not in service.
