CARIBOU, Maine — The Aroostook Veterans Advocacy Committee will meet on Saturday, February 15 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Chan Center at Cary Medical Center. Updates on veterans benefits including end of life issues will be presented along with updaters on the Caribou Maine Veterans Home. All area veterans and spouses are urged to attend. Jim Gehring with the Aroostook Veterans Alliance will provide the benefits update. He urged veterans and spouses to attend.

“Veterans and their spouses need to be aware of the changing veterans benefits including end of life issues that may be critical to the family,” said Gehring. “We hope that we will have the same crowd that we did in November. It is a great way to get information out and veterans can share what they learn with others.”

The Aroostook Veterans Advocacy Committee strives to bring all County veterans organizations together to speak in one voice on veterans issues. For more information or to get on the mailing list for the AVAC, contact AVAC President Vaugh Hardacker at vhardacker@gmail.com.
