Local healthcare leader appointed as president of the Northern New England Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association

CARIBOU, Maine – The Northern New England Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association is proud to announce the appointment of Chelsea Lee Reynolds Desrosiers as the new president effective June 1. Desrosiers, the chief financial officer and chief operations officer at Cary Medical Center, brings over 15 years of experience in healthcare finance and operations leadership to the role.

The Northern New England Chapter of HFMA is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving professionals in healthcare finance across Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. The Chapter provides valuable educational resources, networking opportunities, and advocacy for individuals in the healthcare financial sector, promoting excellence and innovation in the industry.

Desrosiers has been a dedicated member of the HFMA Northern New England Chapter for several years, actively participating in initiatives aimed at improving financial operations and healthcare delivery in the region. Her extensive background in both financial management and operational strategy will allow her to bring a unique, holistic perspective to the organization. She has also presented at HFMA Chapter meetings.  

As president of the Northern New England Chapter, Desrosiers will be responsible for guiding the organization’s strategic direction, collaborating with regional healthcare leaders, and fostering professional development opportunities for Chapter members. Her leadership is expected to focus on enhancing educational programming, expanding networking platforms, and advancing the Chapter’s advocacy efforts on behalf of healthcare finance professionals in the Northern New England states.
