Greater Houlton Christian Academy honor parts

HOULTON, Maine — Robert Albers, head of school for Greater Houlton Christian Academy, is pleased to announce the honor part for the graduating Class of 2025.

Addison E. Watson, valedictorian, is the daughter of Damian and Faith Watson of Smyrna Mills. Addison is a three-year member of the National Honor Society. She has received recognition by ACSI as a Distinguished Christian High School Student for service and leadership. Addison has received honor roll awards and been recognized for Christian Character and Christian Service throughout her high school career. She served as editor of the school newspaper for one year. Addison is a 2025 Maine Principal’s Award recipient. Also, she participated in one year of high school softball and two years of high school basketball. 

Watson

Addison enjoys serving the Lord in many and various ways, she is actively involved at Shiretown Baptist Church where she plays guitar for worship and assists in the nursery and in  junior church. In February she traveled to the Dominican Republic as part of a mission team. She is a volunteer at Living Waters Bible Camp where she works in the dining hall and on the waterfront.  

In her spare time, Addison enjoys lifting weights, spending time with her family, playing guitar,  biking and spending time with her dogs.  

Addison is currently employed as a cook at The Brookside Inn. In the fall she will attend Husson University where she will pursue a doctorate of physical therapy, majoring in exercise science. 

Abigail Duff, salutatorian, is the daughter of Joel and Katie Duff of Hodgdon. She has received  honor roll awards and been recognized for Christian Character. She has participated in volleyball for two years and high school track for one year.

Abigail participated in the Border Patrol Explorers program. She has been a part of two different  mission trips: Mexico and the Dominican Republic. She also worked for two years at Living  Waters in Weston. Abigail has completed the firefighter basic training and is a member of the  Hodgdon Fire Department. She attends the East Hodgdon Bible Church and enjoys working in  children’s ministry, including VBS and nursery. 

In her spare time, Abigail enjoys spending time with family and friends, four-wheeling, hunting  porcupine and napping. 

Abigail is currently employed as a CNA at Madigan Estates. In the fall, she will attend  NMCC where she will pursue an associate degree in nursing.
