“Moms, dads and guardians, as a parent of an MSSM graduate, I also know that this is a special day for you,” Board Chair Marian Reagan said. “Relish today, but I hope that you’ll also remember the experience and the people you’ve met at MSSM and that you’ll remain connected to this special place as I have.”

Student speaker Luciana Chavez de Paz Solis addressed her fellow graduates, and the school’s executive director, Rob Constantine, introduced keynote speaker Yellow Light Breen, CEO of the Maine Development Foundation.

Diplomas were presented by Reagan, college counselor Erica Jortberg, STEM Division leader Debbie Eustis-Grandy and Humanities Division leader Anthony Scott.

The class extended special thanks to MSSM staff Phebe Whitley-DesJardins and her kitchen crew, Dave Martin, Justin Cote, Dustin Craig, Tadd Devoe, Philip Long and Ryan McDonald.

At the ceremony’s end, Constantine honored parents, guardians and school staff for their support during the students’ educational journeys.

“With your graduation from MSSM, you join a family of people who know what it means to receive an MSSM diploma. You are now part of a storied legacy and a strong network,” he said.

Cammie Marine and Dhruv Jain served as class marshals. Eustis-Grandy offered processional music, and the class marched out to the song “Time of Your Life” by Green Day.
