Saint John Valley Weather for Sept. 17-23, 2025

Wednesday –  Friday

High pressure will move east/southeast of the region today with mostly sunny skies continuing across the Saint John Valley. Clouds increase tonight as a cold front approaches from the west/northwest and moves through the SJV Thursday night into Friday with some shower activity Thursday afternoon into early Friday morning. Dynamics aloft for thunderstorms are quite limited, and any rumbles of thunder isolated. As the front moves away Friday morning, a cool air mass builds in on breezy northwest winds with fair, cool weather for the weekend.

For today, patchy morning river fog gives way to mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid-to-upper 70s and near calm wind. tonight, partly cloudy skies with patchy fog and temperatures generally in the lower 50s. Southwest wind 3-4 mph expected.

On Thursday, partly cloudy to partly sunny skies with a chance of scattered afternoon showers with less than 1/10-inch rainfall expected. Highs in the mid-70s to near 80°F with west/southwest wind 6-8 mph gusting 15-20 mph. Thursday night, expect widespread light showers with most locations seeing less than 1/10-inch precipitation. Temperatures in the middle-to-upper 40s, and northwest wind 5-8 mph gusting 15-20 mph at times.

Friday, after any lingering morning showers end, skies become mostly sunny with northwest wind 10-15 mph gusting 20-25 mph. Highs in the upper 50s. Friday night, mostly clear and cool with lows in the low-to-mid-30s with areas of frost possible.

Saturday – Tuesday 

High pressure will slide across the region cresting over the Valley Saturday night. Sunny skies and cool temperatures are expected Saturday with a potential freeze Saturday night. Highs in the upper 50s with lows in the lower 30s are expected along with some areas of fog.

High pressure moves east/southeast of the region Sunday with light southwest flow drawing warmer air into the SJV producing highs in the upper 60s. Partly cloudy skies Sunday night with a slight chance of showers by early Monday and lows in the middle 40s.

For Monday, partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the low 70s and a slight chance of showers, mainly in the afternoon. Some scattered rain showers are possible Monday night with lows in the low 50s. 

Tuesday, a warm front approaches producing partly sunny/partly cloudy skies along with a chance of showers. Highs in the middle 70s with light west wind. Tuesday night, expect some scattered showers as the warm front crosses the region. Lows in the lower 50s with light south/southwest wind.

Friday: Sunny. A slight chance of showers in the morning. Much cooler with highs in the upper 50s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Friday Night: Mostly clear. Cooler with lows in the lower 30s.

Saturday: Sunny. Highs in the upper 50s.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear. Cold with lows in the lower 30s.

Sunday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid-60s.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy in the evening, then becoming mostly cloudy. Not as cool with lows in the mid-40s.

Monday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 70s.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 50s.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid-70s.
