Aroostook County volunteer Bettina Grange of Fort Kent has been announced as the Girl Scouts of Maine Volunteer of the Month of August.

Grange is a volunteer within the Emerald Service Unit, where she is serving in her new role as service unit manager.

Girl Scouts awards the Volunteer of the Month title to an adult volunteer who has demonstrated exceptional dedication and efforts within the organization to benefit Girl Scouts statewide.

Grange has been volunteering for the Girl Scouts of Maine for a decade. Her leadership shines through in her role as a troop leader, where she fosters an environment for girls to create unique, memorable experiences rooted in confidence, independence, and community spirit.

Her pivotal involvement in bringing Troop Camp Training Part 2 back to Fort Kent marked a significant milestone. The well-attended event was filled with skill-building, connections and unforgettable memories.

Grange embodiment of what it means to be a Girl Scout is a beacon of light, guiding young girls to bloom into leaders and changemakers, Girl Scouts of Maine officials said.
