HOULTON, Maine — Drug and domestic violence charges topped the most recent list of Aroostook County grand jury indictments.
An indictment is not a finding of guilt, but an indication that there is enough evidence in a case to move forward with a trial.
The grand jury handed up the following 48 indictments for October, the Aroostook County district attorney’s office reported on Oct. 30.
Michael C. Doucette, 39, Frenchville: domestic violence elevated aggravated assault, domestic violence aggravated assault (two counts) and domestic violence assault.
Nathan R. Morrow, 32, Caribou: tampering with a victim and violating conditions of release.
Yiannisivette Pappadis-Torres, 22, Haverhill, Massachusetts: domestic violence criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and domestic violence assault.
Robert N. Guthrie, 38, Stockholm: possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (two counts).
Ciarra K. Doody, 40, Caribou: tampering with a victim and violating conditions of release.
Denis M. Dube III, 27, Caribou: domestic violence aggravated assault, domestic violence criminal threatening and domestic violence assault.
Michael A. Peterson, 36, Caribou: domestic violence assault (two counts).
Sovannareth L. Carlson, 48, Woodland: criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.
Ben J. Valcourt, 47, Eagle Lake: possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
