A high school in Aroostook County was evacuated Wednesday morning, Dec. 3, following a threat.
Central Aroostook High School in Mars Hill was evacuated around 10:45 a.m., and students were subsequently sent home for the remainder of the school day, MSAD 42 Superintendent Heidi Garrison said.
Garrison did not disclose the nature of the threat, citing an ongoing investigation, but said that the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office and Office of State Fire Marshal deemed it not credible.
As a result, after-school activities at the high school resumed as normal.
