Empty Bowls Aroostook is back

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine— Empty Bowls Aroostook is back for 2026! The event will be hosted at the Wintergreen Arts Center in the Aroostook Center Mall at 830 Main St. from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, April 10. This event is open to the public and will benefit the GIFT Food Pantry and the Wintergreen Arts Center children’s programming.

This wonderful fundraising event provides an opportunity to showcase ceramic works from UMPI faculty and students, Wintergreen Arts students and other local supporters, while providing support to a local food pantry and non-profit. There will be over 150 unique hand-made bowls available for purchase, with soup provided by local restaurants, grocers, and supporters provided. The cost per bowl will be between $15 and $200, depending on shape, size and design.

“We are so excited to be seeing Empty Bowls Aroostook returning for another year,” UMPI Instructor of Foundations, Ceramics and Sculpture and Wintergreen Board Member Dylan Ouellette said. “This is such an amazing event that celebrates the arts and supports such an incredible cause. We are hoping to see more people in attendance and to have more bowls available for purchase than in previous years.”

Bowls will be available on a first come basis. For more information on the event, please visit Empty Bowls Aroostook on Facebook.
