WASHBURN, Maine — Washburn Memorial Library is pleased to welcome Delaini Huston as its new children’s librarian.

Huston comes to the library with experience in creating early childhood curriculum, knowledge of early childhood development from birth through grade 12, behavioral guidance and special education individualized curriculum.

She is currently in the process of bringing back children’s storytime & crafts with sessions beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7.

In addition Huston will be hosting a new homeschool program. This program will feature a variety of hands-on projects and learning opportunities, including: learning to use a Cricut, beginner sewing classes, photography, 3D printing, gardening and more.

These classes are funded through a Stephen King Grant specifically geared toward the homeschool group and began on April 2.

Washburn Memorial Library is excited to offer these new opportunities for children and families in our community. If you are interested and would like more information call the library at 207-455-2016.
