FKent Historical Society hosts open house Aug. 9

Uncover local history, enjoy live music, and connect with the community. The Fort Kent Historical Society warmly invites members, neighbors and visitors to its annual open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9.

The event is free and open to everyone.

The festivities will take place at the historic Daigle/Dubé House (4 Dubé St.). Attendees can immerse themselves in rich Acadian culture with live musical performances by the Acadian Singers, along with complimentary refreshments and food.

In addition to the main gathering at the Daigle/Dubé House, all historical society buildings will be open to the public for self-guided exploration — offering a unique, hands-on glimpse into the region’s vibrant heritage.

Whether you’re a lifelong local history buff or just looking for a fantastic family afternoon, there is something for everyone.
