Madawaska was one of several spots in Aroostook County that paused to remember 9/11.
Members of the Madawaska Police Department, Madawaska Fire Department, Madawaska Ambulance Department and the American Legion Post 147 joined staff and residents at Country Village Estates to remember and honor the lives that were lost in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks 25 years ago.
“We keep the victims and their families in our hearts. We will never forget,” staff said.
