The Historical Society will have items on display at The Little School. The Historical Society is being relocated to The Little School basement. Stop by and check out our progress!

Photo contest

The Recreation Department is looking for photos around Easton for the 2019 calendar.  It must be an original photo that represents Easton. Please attach your name, number and subject in a framed photo.  Each contestant may submit up to three entries. Entries should be dropped off at the Town Office by July 6. Photos will be on display during the festival. The public will vote on the winners.

Friends Helping Friends

The friends Helping Friends Food Pantry just completed its 10th year providing for the needs of the community.  They will celebrate during Easton field Days and have a booth in the elementary school gym. Everyone is encouraged to come by and pick up a free cup of popcorn.  Children can play a game to win a free prize.

The pantry started with a joint commitment between Kiwanis and the Easton Churches.  They started handing out food on the back of a trailer provided by Bryan Lawrence. Eventually, the Town of Easton graciously provided the group with the use of the basement of the Odd Fellows Hall.

Over the 10 years, with the help of the great folks of Easton, they have been able to provide food assistance to over 100 families.

Happy Days Club

The Happy Days Club met for a potluck luncheon and meeting on Thursday, June 28.  Members voted to carpool to Winnie’s for lunch in Presque Isle on Thursday, July 12, leaving the West Ridge Manor at 11a.m.  There will be a stipend for Easton seniors who attend. Please RSVP to 488-4971.
