PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Chasse family, with the help of many local residents and businesses, recently held a benefit auction for their son, Mike Chasse, who was seriously injured on March 1 in a skiing accident in Utah.
The seats were filled with people from all around the county that pulled together to assist the Chasse family with the home renovations and adaptive equipment necessary for Mike’s return to Presque Isle.
After all the items were sold, which ranged from ski equipment to pictures to ladies’ purses, and the funds tallied, the event raised $10,103.75.
Renovations are already happening and Mike is scheduled to be released to return to Presque Isle on June 28.
