Herman “Manny” M. Farley

ASHLAND, Maine – Herman “Manny” M. Farley, 69, died unexpectedly Wednesday, October 31, 2018, following several years of health issues. He was born December 2, 1948 in Washburn, a son of the late Leslie and Fern (Ambrose) Farley.
Herman lived in Ashland, and had a passion for working for area farms. He worked for Tom Graham and Sarah Brooks for many years and developed a strong friendship. He loved cutting grass and never hesitated to tackle acres of tending to the fields. During his downtime, he liked to tinker with lawnmowers, hang out with his family and friends, or kick back with his long-time friend and companion, Carolyn Scott.
He is survived by two brothers, Carl Farley and his wife, Veronica of Castle Hill, and Robert Farley and his wife, Goldenia of Anamosa, IA; three sisters, Vella Greenlaw and her husband, Wayne of Mapleton, LeRita Smith and her husband, William of Ellwood City, PA, and Charlotte Holmes of McEwen, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Herman was predeceased by a brother, Lloyd Langley, and three sisters, Marjorie Langley, Arlene Hull, and Ruth LaCombe.
