PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – Financial Peace University is coming to Grant Memorial Methodist Church.
The acclaimed Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University will be offered on Thursday evenings beginning Sept. 13. FPU is a 13-week, life-changing program that empowers and teaches how to make the right money decisions to achieve financial goals and experience a total money makeover.     Beyond that, Ramsey will teach how to make insurance, investments, and other aspects of the financial world work in a way that will free us to live a generous and secure life. There are two orientation sessions being offered, Sept. 4 and Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. at the church, for anyone wanting to learn more about this life-changing class. Regular classes will be held on Thursday evenings from 7-9 p.m. beginning Sept. 13. Class materials must be purchased by those attending.
On the nationally syndicated “Dave Ramsey Radio Show,” the leader said, “After losing everything, I went on a quest to find out how money really works, how I could get control of it, and how I could have confidence in handling it. I read everything I could get my hands on. I interviewed older rich people, people who made money and kept it. That quest led me to a really, really uncomfortable place – my mirror. I wrote the book “Financial Peace” based on all that I had learned and began selling it. My findings give hope to everyone, from the financially secure to the financially distressed.”
On average, these families have paid off over $5,300 in debt and saved $2,700 during this program.
