Homecoming race attracts 46
MARS HILL — The ACI/Central Aroostook High School Homecoming Weekend 5K road race was held Aug. 11, with Jeff Ashby of Fort Fairfield and Brittany Grass of Blaine winning overall titles.
Ashby finished with a time of 19 minutes and 39 seconds, while Grass came in at 24:33.
Forty six runners participated and the top-10 consisted of Ashby, Trevor Levesque (21:51), Shane Durost (23:27), Grass, Kyle Taylor (24:47), Frank Bemis (25:15), Andy Grass (25:16), Jeff Pangburn (25:33), Lori Scovil (25:45) and Erin Pierce (26:27).
Other runners and their finishing time, in order, were David Cyr (26:29), Janice Wright (28:03), Ben Ellis (28:36), Ellen Bemis (29:16), Grace Bemis (30:18), Amanda Cushman (31:34), Jocelyn McDonald (31:57), Trace Cyr (32:16), Courtney Couture (33:07) and Holly Vigue (33:13).
Also, Betsy Allen (35:08), Malachi Couture (37:57), Melanie Wilson (39:51), Darci Bubar (39:57), Rachel Murchison (41:13), Tonya Alexander (41:14), Jason Murchison (41:15), Kassandra Dominque (41:33), Katie Devoe (41:33) and Josselyn Marquis (43:21).
Also, Stevi McCrum (46:36), Tammie Fletcher (47:21), Hannah Miller (51:37), Jessica Bubar (51:37), Pam Codrey (57:15), Vicki Jackson (57:15), Ginger Campbell (57:42), Loni Giberson (57:50), Kristi Pierce (59:18) and Jean Shaw (59:40).

Eleven youths ran in the “Kiddie K,” including Jonathan McDonald, Bri McDonald, Ethan Cushman, Carson Cushman, Connor Cushman, Jazmyn Brown, Kathryn Murchison, Anna Durost, Niah Durost, Carter Vigue and Teddy Bemis.
