City plans free session on electric vehicles

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The City of Presque Isle and Northern Maine Development Commission will host a free electric vehicle symposium via Zoom at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4.

The panel will include a representative from Efficiency Maine on what electric vehicles are and opportunities to install an EV infrastructure; Chris Carroll on the future of EV technology from the automobile industry’s perspective; Gordon Beck on understanding the different EV charges and Q&A on installation; Judy Long of Versant Power on plans of local energy providers to incorporate EV technology and fleet conversion; and local input on how to incorporate EV technology into a company’s business model.
