PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Wintergreen Arts Center to feature artist Jeff Ouellette and photographer Cindy Parent Saggese during the month of November. Their opening reception will be held on November 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. during Presque Isle’s First Friday Art Walk.
The reception is open and free to the public. Live music will be performed by Janice Santos. Refreshments will be served.
Ouellette is a self-taught artist who enjoys many forms of art. His primary focus is on Aroostook County’s agricultural history and the artistic preservation of machines of the past. Jeff enjoys working with children and adults who have academic, physical, and developmental challenges. His artistic heroes include Van Gogh, Peter Max and Dr. Seuss.
Parent Saggese started taking photos after her first grandson came along so she could capture as many memories as possible. Photography was something Parent Saggese found she loved doing. She also loves learning new things and taking on new projects from learning how to burn wood to helping her husband create props for their yearly Halloween display. Parent Saggese lives in Limestone with her husband Kevin and Goldendoodle Cooper.
“Featuring Jeff’s artwork and Cindy’s photography together is a great combination,” said Gretchen Violette, Wintergreen’s event director. “Their work is unique, yet their passion for their individual artforms is similarly engaging. We hope the community comes out to support the show and their talent.”
