Egypt Road in Presque Isle will be closed at the Williams Brook Crossing starting Monday, Aug. 25, until no later than Wednesday, Oct. 8.
That portion of road will be closed to construct a new bridge to replace the current failing culvert.
All vehicles coming from Westfield traveling to Presque Isle or Easton on Route 10 should detour by taking Cambridge Road to U.S. Route 1. For those traveling from Presque Isle or Route 10, the detour will be to take Henderson Road to U.S. Route 1.
The work will make Egypt Road safer during all seasons, city officials said.
