Wednesday-Friday

An upper level-trough will cross the region today with a cumulus field developing over the Valley and a chance of scattered showers in the afternoon with precipitation amounts less than 1/10th inch, light west winds, and highs in the upper 60s expected. High pressure builds in tonight, with decreasing cloudiness and lows in the middle 40s. Patchy fog is possible with west wind across the region.

High pressure produces mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies across the St. John Valley Thursday with highs climbing into the lower 70s. A weak disturbance produces some increased cloudiness by evening into the overnight hours with lows falling into the upper 40s.

On Friday, an upper-level low will approach from the west with unsettled weather developing for the Valley. Partly sunny to partly cloudy skies with a chance of showers and isolated afternoon thunderstorms are expected and highs in the low 70s. Mostly cloudy skies overspread the Valley Friday night with widespread shower activity across the region. Overnight temperatures dip into the lower 50s. Currently, between 0.25 and 0.50-inch rainfall is possible Friday night.

Saturday-Tuesday

Mostly cloudy skies are expected Saturday as a closed low meanders over the region. Showers are likely along with scattered, mainly afternoon, thunderstorms. Saturday night,  showers are likely with lows falling into the lower 50s.

Sunday, partly sunny skies with scattered showers remain possible for the Saint John Valley. The upper low crosses the region over the course of the day with a chance of scattered showers. Highs in the upper 60s.  Scattered showers under partly cloudy skies remain possible Sunday night as the low moves into New Brunswick. Lows in the upper 40s Sunday night.

The upper low drifts east in the Maritimes Labor Day while high pressure moves into the region from the west. This produces mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies for the holiday, though isolated afternoon showers are possible. Highs reach the low 70s. Monday night, partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the lower 50s are expected.

High pressure continues building across the Valley Tuesday with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies expected. A slight chance of afternoon showers is possible with highs in the mid-70s. For Tuesday night, a slight chance of showers remains possible with lows in the lower 50s.
